Oh dear, where have I been?

Well, it has been wayyyy tooo looong.
What have I been up to? A lot of blah blah blah work school the like.

BUT recently I won a book contest. No not for my writing abilities (obviously, just look at my blog) but because other people have the incredible talent for writing and publishing books. I won 34 books and I am loving them! I will be writing my reviews soon.

Next, as of February I am obsessed with Jim Henson's Labyrinth, if you haven't seen it you must watch it!!

And lastly, I recently attended a NEEDTOBREATHE concert. yes the band that is my blogs namesake. I love them! Their music speaks to me. This concert was beyond words. They had three other bands performing with them, the lights were out of this world, and the energy was tangible. They have always had a stage presence that was more than most bands could only dream of having but the amount of fun they appeared to be having was more than I had expected. I cannot wait for the next chance I will get to see them in concert! Don't stay overseas too long guys!

That is random, unrelated stuff but... I guess that's just how I roll.

Well. That's so me.

As much as I wanted to be a blogger, it seems my some times quietness has beaten out the sometimes loudness online. So. Instead of being a great blogger about important things going on. I'll just ramble about me.

I love sports. My teams are Cubs baseball, Duke basketball and TCU football.

I've always played sports, and on the boys teams. I was starting catcher for my high school baseball team an captain. I was also a starter and captain for the basketball team. I played other sports off and on, but I wanted to focus on those two and just didn't have the time to spare. I've always been one of the guys and wanted to beat them. Be the best at everything.

I love animals. They trust me. It's weird. I will be out in te sun and they will just come hang out. And I'm like "oh hey wild animal."

I don't know what I would do without music. I'm a classic rocker. I love NEEDTOBREATHE. The 50's knew how to rock. 60's and 70's can groove. But the 80's! Big hair is where it's at. I also love the blues.

I have a list of top 109 favorite artist, but that doesn't scratch the surface on my music library. 

I have blue eyes most of the time. The can be green or silver/gray depending on what I am wearing. I have blonde hair except the tips, those are royal blue.

I watch way more movies than I should. Not much on tv except cartoons and sports and maybe two random shows..

Superheroes and pirates rock but I do like a smart cool villain that has potential to be good..

I hated to read when I was little. I can't read enough now. I have a motorcycle and like to camp and horseback ride. I love to swim and water sports including cliff diving. At the moment I have no fears. I don't know what happened, I used to fear spiders but now that's gone.

I'm 20something. I have never been on a date or been kissed. I am stubborn, and get emmbarssed  easily, remember when you were little and a compliment embarrassed you? Yeah I never grew out of that.  I like to wear costumes. Ive decided to stay 12 forever. I don't want to grow-up.

Old people am little kids are cool.

I love my family and spending time with them. 

I have awesome friends.

I'm an excellent shot and like to hunt, but only when it's fair.

I am an insomniac, I never get more than 3-4 hours of sleep a night and can stay awake for a week and still function.

I am dull in the sense of parties and such.

I am exciting in the sense of no fear. Jump off of stuff. 

I am very curious and ask lots of questions.

I like to explore new places.

When I was two I wanted to be an archaeologist, play major league baseball, own a zoo, and be a missionary. Yes. 2. Those dreams have not changed.

I play multiple instruments, thos I don't think very well.

I like to paint and draw. I want to write, but getting thought to paper is work for me. I can cook but have trouble ollowing recipes, I do my own thing.

I don't like rudeness.

I'm an infj.

I love God. Words are not enough here.

It's finals week. I don't think there is anything else to say, which is good because my brain doesn't have anything else to say.

I will leave with one new discovery- the game pocket frogs. This is the dumbest game ever made, and I can't stop playing it. If you aren't playing hop away now while you still can. If you want to risk it have fun and say good-bye to your time. Hahahahaba

New Album

I have been listening to the new NEEDTOBREATHE album Rivers in the Wasteland nonstop since it was released. If you haven't purchased it you really NEEDTO.

Every track is different and amazing. The lyrics are rich, deep and thought provoking. Each song brings out a different emotion in me. This is album is a must have in any music collection. 

My point system score for this one is 1,500 congrats NTB for getting the first points in my strange and unusual blog.

Bloggers.

I have been looking at a few other blogs lately and really like the look of what they are doing. I am leaning toward changing how I run (when I happen to get on) this blog. 

I think I am going to move to writing the blog like I talk to my friends. I have tried in the past to be more professional, I could possibly return to that but for now my blogs will be written like I am talking to a friend. The other change is a point system. I haven't written many reviews like I had originally planned. I like reviews and the point in starting my blog was to write reviews, I always thought that would be fun. After my point system is established maybe I can stick with my reviews, life is busy but I will give it a try. My point system will not be stars or ratings like most other reviewers use. I'm in a point system in my everyday life so I think it should be part of my blog as well.

So that said. My blog will be written as if I am conversing with a friend and will be on point system. The system will be posted as soon as I figure out how to divvy them. 

Good luck keeping up with unprofessional wording and a made up point system. I think it will be fun.

Allegiant

Well, I have finished Allegiant, sadly it did not meet my expectations. Don't get me wrong, it was well written and something I would suggest, but it just wasn't what I was hoping for. I have heard a lot of love hate for this book. My hope for the movie is that it ends exactly like the book, yes the person that doesn't care for it is hoping they stay true to what's written. But there is a twist! I hope there is a stinger, a long stinger. That changes the end! >Read no further if you have not read Allegiant! What follows may give too much away< I would like the stinger to be Four waking up from a nightmare that was the end of the book! Or something along those line. A win win I think. Those who live the end get what they want, those who did not care for it will get an alternate ending! How great would that be?

Have you missed me?

I have not blogged in far too long. Working on my masters has taken way more time than I thought it would. I NEEDTOBREATHE after the last semester. It was absolutely covered up. But enough about my lack of time and energy.

I am looking forward to a break and reading. At the moment I am reading the Divergent series. Yes I'm behind but I had good reason, not just being to busy or having my brain on overload. I actually bought the book when it first came out, and saw it was a series, so I waited for the other books to come out, I knew I couldn't wait for the others if it was as good as I had hoped (so far it is). THEN FINALLY the third books hit the shelf, and I found out it was being made into a movie..... Well I had to wait  until the movie came out, I never like the movie as much as the book, but I like the movie better if see it before reading the awesome.

That said, I would suggest the book, everybody and thier sister already has, but, yes. Read the book. Watch the movie. I love it.

I think it could be the character Four, that was my basketball number in high school.
